Coach Teaching Rec Cheerleading Class

If you search for “cheerleading near me” in Lower Merion, you’ll quickly realize there aren’t many options—especially for younger kids. In fact, most children here don’t get the chance to cheer until they enter high school in 9th grade. That’s a huge gap compared to other youth sports programs on the Main Line, where kids can start soccer, gymnastics, or dance as early as age three.

Growing up, I had access to Pop Warner cheer and other recreational cheerleading programs. Those experiences gave me a strong foundation: learning teamwork, coordination, confidence, and the excitement of performing as part of a group. I wanted kids in Lower Merion and throughout the Philadelphia area to have those same opportunities.

That’s why I founded E&E Cheer.

Cheerleading for Kids Ages 3–12+ on the Main Line

E&E Cheer is the first and only local program designed to introduce kids ages 3–11 to the sport of cheerleading. We focus on the fun, foundational skills that prepare children to succeed later on—whether they choose to pursue cheer in high school or simply enjoy it as part of their youth sports journey.

Our session-based programs include:

  • Fall Cheerleading Classes – outdoors or in local studios, where kids build strength, balance, and confidence while enjoying the season.

  • Winter Cheerleading Indoors – safe, structured classes that keep kids active during the colder months.

  • Spring Cheer Sessions – fresh energy, new skills, and end-of-session showcases for family and friends.

By running sessions seasonally, families can easily fit cheerleading into busy schedules while kids get the chance to grow step by step.

Why Lower Merion Needs Cheerleading

Lower Merion is not widely known for cheerleading—but that’s exactly why I started here. Parents kept telling me they wanted something new beyond the usual youth sports. With E&E Cheer, kids don’t have to wait until high school to try cheerleading. They can start young, build skills in motions, chants, jumps, and basic stunting, and most importantly—have fun with friends in a safe and positive environment.

A Community-Centered Youth Sports Program

E&E Cheer is about more than skills. We’re about building community, creating friendships, and celebrating progress together. Each session ends with a showcase performance, so parents can see their child shine. Our certified coaches are trained in youth safety, risk management, and concussion prevention, ensuring that every child learns in a secure environment.

Why Families Choose E&E Cheer

  • Local cheerleading program in Lower Merion, the Main Line, and Philadelphia

  • Focused on ages 3–11: the true beginner and prep-level stage

E&E Cheer: Bringing Recreational Cheerleading to Lower Merion Kids

At E&E Cheer, we founded our program with a simple yet powerful vision: to make cheerleading accessible to every child in Lower Merion. Our journey began when we noticed a significant gap in our community—no recreational cheerleading programs existed for kids who wanted to explore this dynamic sport. In Lower Merion, the only options for cheerleading were either joining an intense All-Star cheer team or waiting until high school to try out for the school squad. We knew this needed to change.
